Setup wizard

You can start the wizard via the Setup action button on the Role Center home page. If you don’t see this button, you should switch to the E-commerce Manager Role via My Settings in the top right menu.

The wizard consists of 3 steps.

Step 1: Your Commerce 365 platform credentials

Enter your App ID and App Secret. If you have installed a trial version via Microsoft AppSource, you should have received an email with a set of credentials. If you have purchased a license/subscription, you should have received these credentials from your implementation partner.

App ID’s and Secrets usually look like this;
dc97b96f369d4435a6d355c7247b3f92 / 2j3er9823rhwqi8o7rhq3i4o7rhy323r

If you haven't received this information, please send an email to [email protected] and we will send you a set of keys as soon as possible.

Step 2: Your Magento credentials

Enter both the Magento REST API URL and the Magento REST API Access Token. A REST API URL usually looks like https://www.yourstore.com/rest/ and if you don’t have an access token yet, please follow the instruction on this page: https://n.vision/knowledge-base/commerce-365-for-magento/installation/magento-integration-enabling-rest-api/

The setup wizard will automatically validate the credentials you have entered, and it will tell you if something is wrong.

The most common reason why you might see an Unauthorized message is when the integration does not have Access to the right resources.

Magento 2.4.4+ update: Another reason why you might see Unauthorized, could be because of that the use of Bearer Tokens / Access Tokens is not yet enabled in your Magento.

See this page for more details: https://n.vision/knowledge-base/commerce-365-for-magento/installation/magento-integration-enabling-rest-api/

When all credentials and URLs are entered correctly you should end up with a screen like the one below.

Click Finish and the application will automatically download all necessary Master Data from your Magento installation.

Within this extension everything that is configured in Magento (websites, store views, tax classes, customer groups) is called Master Data.

If you ever want to change the values which you have just entered, go to Administration > Setup.

Now that you have run the wizard, and that your Business Central system is connected to your Magento system, you can now start to further configure the application by going through the next chapters in this manual.
