Wed2b - Commerce 365 for Wedding Dresses

Wed2b is a UK-based bridal retailer that specializes in affordable, ready-made wedding dresses. Founded in 2009, with over 50 store locations, it has grown to become one of the largest wedding dress retailers in the UK and Europe. The company offers a wide selection of bridal outfits, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding accessories.

At NVision, we are proud to announce that Wed2b has successfully gone live with our Commerce 365 for Magento extensions powering the core of their ecommerce operations.

5 BC’s, LS Retail, NVision, Magento

Like many of our customers, Wed2b had been operating on Microsoft Dynamics NAV for many years, and then decided to plan their upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. With over 50 physical stores and a significant ecommerce presence, they recognized the need to implement LS Retail as well. Initially considering the standard LS Retail - Magento connector, they soon realized they required a more robust integration solution to meet all their needs, leading them to partner with NVision.

Ultimately, the complete BC-stack was structured as follows:
Five Business Central instances, all running LS Retail and Commerce 365 for Magento, all connected to a single central Magento instance serving five Magento stores. The UK BC instance acts as the master data system, utilizing the Commerce 365 for Magento PIM module to maintain all product data, including information for all country-specific stores. The other country-specific instances handle order fulfilment and stock updates for their respective online stores.

The project at Wed2b is a very good example of why one would implement Magento. Many of the more advanced features in Magento are being used, and these are all supported out of the box by the NVision - Magento integration. And even where there was the need for an additional customisation on top of the standard functionality, these could still be accomplished by leveraging the standard events and API’s that come with the NVision product.
